New Ulm Gag Collection
The New Ulm Wanda Gag collection is made up of 60 lithographs, paintings, and drawings that Wanda donated to the local chapter of the American Association of University Women.  The collection was later given to the City of New Ulm and a number of the prints were on display in the old New Ulm Public Library for many years.  The pictures were then stored in the Brown County Museum.  Over the past several years, the city, working with the Museum and the Gag House, had the pictures cleaned, restored and matted.  Photographs were taken of the entire set and duplicates were made.  These photographs were then framed and will be availavle on a rotating basis to businesses or institutions in Brown County for display.  The first viewing was held in the rotunda of the New Ulm City Hall with a reception on February 25, 2008.    Call City Hall at 507.359.8233 to arrange a loan for your business or organization.

Gag House Acquires Flavia Gag Paintings
The Gag House recently acquired three paintings by Flavia Gag.  Camila Dykes of New York had lived with Flavia in New York and she offered to the association the paintings for sale.  The pictures were probably painted in the 1950's when Flavia lived in an apartment in New York City near Washington square. In addition to the paintings there was a painted plate by Flavia and some cards.  The pictures will be matted and framed and will be on display in the Gag House.
